Enquiries and making a purchase
We sell existing original drawings and artworks commissioned to a customer's specifications. Submitting the contact form or asking about an artwork does not place an order or create an obligation to pay.
We discuss availability and your requirements by email. Before you buy, we send a written offer that identifies the artwork and its main characteristics, the total price and currency, shipping costs, payment terms, delivery address and delivery deadline. We disclose any exhibition commitment that affects availability. We also provide these terms, the shipping policy, the refunds and returns policy and the applicable withdrawal information.
For commissions, the offer also records the agreed brief, medium, dimensions, framing if included, reference materials, included revisions, approval stages, deposit, balance and completion schedule. We identify any applicable exception to the withdrawal right before you accept.
The contract is made when LimeDeck receives your email accepting our final written offer without changes within its stated validity period. A reply requesting changes starts further discussion. We confirm the agreed order and send an invoice or payment instructions, including a Stripe payment link where appropriate. Payment of that invoice fulfils the payment obligation under the order already agreed by email.
Our website and consumer documents are in English. Before you accept an offer, we ask you to confirm that you understand English and expressly agree to receive the order information and policies in English. We provide the agreed order and policy versions in a form you can keep, such as email attachments.
Prices, payment and availability
The final offer states what is included in the price. You pay only the charges you expressly agree to. Any free shipping must appear in the offer. For destinations outside the EU, the offer explains any import taxes, duties or clearance charges payable by you, including how they will be determined if we cannot calculate them in advance.
The offer states when payment or a deposit is due and whether production or dispatch depends on payment. A commission deposit is credited towards the agreed price. It does not remove your statutory rights or automatically become non-refundable.
Existing originals are normally available as a single piece. We confirm availability before offering a binding sale. We correct listing or price errors before agreement. We do not change an agreed price or substitute an artwork without your agreement.
Commission changes and cancellation
Ivana creates commissioned work within the agreed brief and her artistic style. Changes to the brief, extra revisions, prices or deadlines require agreement by email before we carry them out or charge for them. Approval of a sketch or proof does not waive your rights if the delivered artwork does not conform to the contract.
Any voluntary cancellation arrangement for a personalised commission must be set out in the offer. If we agree to end a commission, we record any lawful payment for completed work or committed materials and the amount to be refunded. These arrangements do not limit a statutory right to withdraw, claim a remedy for defects or terminate for non-performance.
Delivery, withdrawal and defects
Shipping costs and delivery dates are agreed for each order. The shipping policy explains delivery, delays and transport damage.
Consumers buying existing originals at a distance normally have a 14-day right to withdraw without giving a reason. The exception for goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised may apply to a commission. Handmade or unique goods do not qualify for that exception merely because they are handmade or unique.
Consumers also have statutory rights when goods are defective or do not conform to the contract. Those rights apply to personalised commissions too. The refunds and returns policy explains withdrawal, the model withdrawal form, complaints and remedies.
Photographs and screens can show colours differently. We describe the artwork's characteristics accurately, and any such variation does not exclude liability for non-conforming goods. We disclose any known damage or departure from normally expected characteristics before purchase and obtain any separate agreement required by law.
Copyright and reference materials
Buying an artwork transfers ownership of the physical artwork, subject to the agreed payment terms. It does not transfer Ivana's copyright or grant a commercial reproduction licence. Any additional licence must be agreed in writing. Statutory copyright exceptions and lawful rights concerning the physical artwork continue to apply.
You keep the rights you hold in reference materials you provide. You authorise us and Ivana to use them as needed to discuss and fulfil your specific commission. We reuse them for follow-up work or another commission only at your request. Please provide materials you have the right to use for that purpose. We arrange any permission needed to publish identifiable customer photographs, reference materials or a personal commission in a portfolio separately.
Please use the website and contact form lawfully. Website artwork and other protected content may be used only with the rights holder's permission or as permitted by law. The privacy policy describes how we handle personal data.
Complaints, disputes and applicable law
Contact LimeDeck at the details above with a complaint or request for redress. If you are a consumer and we reject your request for redress, or do not answer within 30 days of the date you sent it, you may apply to a competent alternative dispute resolution body, subject to its admissibility rules. Information and submission instructions are available from the Slovak Trade Inspection.
The relevant general consumer-supervision authority is Inšpektorát SOI pre Žilinský kraj, Predmestská 71, P. O. BOX B-89, 011 79 Žilina 1. A supervision complaint and an application for alternative dispute resolution are different procedures.
Slovak law governs our contracts. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protection under the law that would otherwise apply, including applicable protection in their country of habitual residence. Statutory rules determine which courts have jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The consumer withdrawal and consumer-remedy provisions apply to consumers. Please tell us before ordering if you are buying for a business, so we can identify any different terms in the offer.
Policy updates apply to future orders. An existing order remains subject to the terms and individual offer agreed for that order, together with applicable mandatory law.
